Dear Prudence Advert Click Here For Bigger ScanA beautiful sleeve and a less than astonishing cover.  As Siouxsie's pop standing dissolves from light to dark and back again the records of her group are getting fogged down and indecisive.  Whirlybird guitars and even some nostalgic phasing scarcely paper over a cracking and under-fed treatment of a dried-out chestnut.  And it goes on, and on.  What will they do next - 'The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill'?

Dear Prudence Advert - Click Here For Bigger ScanSioux and the Banshee boys whip up Lennon's warped 'White Album' lustsong into a pristine psychedelic outing replete with dreamy phasing and vocal overlays.  Nice, but not special enough.

Dear Prudence Advert Click Here For Bigger ScanDepending on your point of view, this lot are either bewitching or just plain humourless prats playing ghoulies and ghosties.

I reckon they're second only to Madness as makers of varied but consistently excellent singles.

This Lennon and McCartney song is another slice of 'Christine'-style psychedelia, strange and pretty and naggingly hummable.  Love it.
